This weekend there was soccer, and music lessons and an almost sleepover. I found a new tea shop painted blue. I couldn't stop looking at Miyoko Ito's paintings at BAMFA. Initially I went to BAMFA to see the Gordon Parks show which looks at how his essay on gangs in Harlem in the 40's became the piece it did in LIFE. Spoon is a favorite and I like the Shins well enough. And then James Mercer was up there on stage singing covers of the Outfield and Tom Petty on a set of giant flowers and light filled the Greek. Emily wore the Capricorn shirt she found in Joshua Tree. Tomorrow's my birthday.
